Chosen as a VSCO Weekly Select

VSCO
My photo of wilting flowers on the hillside was chosen as one of VSCO’s Weekly Selects. I’m honoured, and i’m in great company too. See here: VSCO Weekly Selects.

I shot it on my Nexus 4.

I love making pictures on my phone. My Wedding Photography owes itself in no small part to the enormously creative and supportive community at Moblog. Started in 2003, it’s creators were way ahead of their time, composing a website for people who wanted a home for the photos they were taking on their first generation cameraphones. Long before modern smartphones, editing apps and instagram, a handful of us were snapping pictures on phones with cameras less than a megabyte (640 x 480 pixels, anyone?) and then emailing, yes emailing them to our personal pages on the Moblog website. Back then we actually had no filters, we didn’t have to use the hashtag.

I had a lot of fun with Moblog. I’m proud to say I was doing it way back when. My Moblog is 10 years old this year, and although I no longer post to it, the photos live on.
