Lovely words from my lovely couples

“I was away in the Netherlands this week and got back yesterday to see Kayur patiently (or rather impatiently) sat waiting next to a beautiful package. What a wonderful surprise! We followed your instructions to a tee. The pictures took us on an amazing journey of reminisce and discovery. We laughed and cried and are so grateful to you for capturing those moments on a day that was so special but blurry. It was like the window was cleaned. The pictures have allowed us to recall all the best bits and why we wanted to celebrate our marriage in the first place. We’ll get old but these are the memories that will stay.

Words cannot express.”

“We are utterly delighted with the photographs, Nigel. We continue to be impressed with your energy, enthusiasm and photos. As well as producing wonderful memories your easy going nature made us feel relaxed and despite my nerves with other aspects of the day I always felt the photography was under control because you were at the helm. As for the method of delivery, well, that was a work of art in itself.  Nigel “Ledge”combe you are definitely the man!!”

“We just wanted to say a massive thank you again for our wonderful pictures, we can’t stop looking at them. Everyone who has seen them thinks they are amazing and we do too. We love the fact that they are so natural and capture people enjoying themselves on our day. Both our parents love them and say they cant stop going through them. They are trying to decide which ones they want to print and are finding this very difficult as there are so many great pictures! You captured our day exactly as we remember it, lots of bubbles, laughs and enjoyment. We can look back at our pictures and remember our day just how it was. You told a great story.”

“The photos arrived yesterday and we couldn’t be more pleased with them! They really captured the mood of the day. It’s hard to pick a favourite shot – suffice to say some would look quite at home in the National Geographic. We are so impressed with how the photos have turned out, they are exactly what we were looking for, and much more. Our friends and family love them too, thank you so much.”

“We found Nigel on a wedding blog, having looked through some photos from a civil partnership ceremony he’d shot previously. The style was exactly what we were looking for. Stylish, contemporary and a real sense of the couple’s personality shining through in each image. We arranged a meeting and from the moment we met, I knew he was the photographer for us. Personable, relaxed and friendly with an outstanding portfolio, he put us at ease instantly as we chatted about not only our big day, but us as a couple. We met at our wedding venue so that he could get a feel for the place and talk to us about the style of photography we were after. He suggested an engagement shoot, free as part of our package, and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. He managed to portray the love and fun we share as a couple, without the images being too staged, or ‘lovey dovey’. Every photo was beautifully composed and finished.

On our actual wedding day he was very great, always there when you needed him, but non-intrusive and a very calming influence. We did a lot of our couple and wedding party shots before the ceremony (taking advantage of the fact that with no bride, there was no big reveal of the dress). This was fantastic, as it meant that after the ceremony we could spend every minute with our guests. Nigel was with us for 12 hours on the day, but I don’t think I saw him more than a handful of times during the whole day and night. Once he had the shots he needed of us and the wedding party, he disappeared into the crowd, like a camera-wielding ninja, producing the most incredible photographs that captured stolen moments of us and our guests perfectly. The images were exactly the reportage style we were looking for and he managed to capture our fun and playful personalities perfectly, in images that we can cherish forever. He really did make our day and we can’t recommend him highly enough to anyone looking for a first-class wedding photographer.”

“All our guests have said how good the photos are and that you have caught the essence of our day perfectly. Everyone warmed to your style and personality. How did you do it? Most of the time we forgot you were there! We did we were so happy. You are extremely professional, personable and a great photographer. Thank you. Oh Nigel we love the photos & will miss having you in our lives. You were brilliant!”

“Nigel seemed to really get who we were as a couple, making an effort to get to know about us and what we truly wanted. He was excellent at communicating with us before the day, making the photography one of the least stressful aspects of wedding planning! On the day, he took photographs in a really unobtrusive and quiet way. When it came to take the more ‘formal’ photos of us, he was fantastic at helping us to relax and actually made the ‘couple photos’ one of the most fun aspects of our wonderful day.

As for the pictures, they are just beautiful! Really capturing the emotions of the day and the personalities of us and our guests. The way the photographs were shot and presented added a real warmth and magical quality that I thought could only exist in memories. We have heard from so many people saying how special the photographs are, capturing the day in a lush, artful way that they hadn’t seen in wedding photography before.

We were so appreciative of Nigel’s care, attention to detail and absolute talent. We would recommend him to anyone looking to preserve the magical, emotional and fun aspects of one of the most important days in their lives.”

“Nigel, can I let you into a secret? It was really tricky convincing the older generation in both our families that a more relaxed style of photography would get the kind of shots they would like for their mantelpieces. But now we have the photos, even my highly-traditional Mum has fallen in love. “
