How I want to live in 2016
It was pouring with rain in London on the first Sunday of 2016. I went into town to take a breather and a walk in the wet. I couldn’t help pulling out my phone and capturing this moment I witnessed at Somerset House. Soon-to-be-back-at-work-post-Christmas-sporting-a-poncho-in-the-rain-ice-skating. It’s surely a testament to human spirit and good humour that people were skating & stumbling on a festive makeshift ice-rink in uncharacteristic conditions. It brought a smile to my face and great hope for this year. In 365 days if someone asks how my 2016 was, I want to say I lived it like a poncho-sporting-ice-skater-in-the-rain: with great enthusiasm, sheer delight, and having moved forward even when unsure of my footing.
Here’s to a great year.
